IRATA (https://irata.org/) is a globally recognized certification that enables workers to perform tasks at height or in difficult-to-reach areas using ropes and other equipment.  The certification is used in various industries such as construction, maintenance and renewable energy and offers many benefits such as safety, efficiency, and versatility.  To become an IRATA-certified technician you must complete a training program at an accredited training centre like ITC.

The wind energy industry is growing exponentially and offers many opportunities for those with the right skills and training. Global Wind Organisation (GWO) (https://www.globalwindsafety.org/about/about) is an international organization that promotes safety and standardization in the wind energy industry.  GWO offers various certifications including Basic Safety Training (BST) which is required for anyone working onsite in the wind energy industry.  To become a GWO-certified technician you must complete a training programme at a GWO accredited training centre.  Our GWO Basic Safety Trainer James is an excellent teacher who goes above and beyond to make sure each student understands the curriculum. According to a report by ResearchAndMarkets.com the global rope access market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.23% during the period 2019 – 2024.  Similarly, the wind energy industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.4% during the period 2020 – 2025 according to a report by Mordor Intelligence.  This means that there will be plenty of job opportunities within these industries for years to come.
