Rope Access Training and Operations


IRATA levels 1, 2 and 3 Rope Access Training courses available. This is the accepted International qualification required for work in the Oil and Gas sector being recognized for its strong safety records and professional standards throughout the globe.Rope Access jobs are available worldwide.


The Industrial Rope Access Trade Association or IRATA, govern the International standard for the Rope Access disciplines of work at height. Rope Access Training can provide you with a spring board to many industries in South Africa and beyond, being used to access almost any working task in a vertical environment using ropes. Beyond this the skills taught complement many other trades i.e. electrical, geo technical rock stabilization work, NDT inspection, wind turbine maintenance and a whole host of requirements in power stations, docks and offshore oil and gas platforms.


The IRATA qualification scheme will provide you with the working at height essentials to keep you safe and able to operate with confidence and skill in the challenging arena of work at height. Successful completion of this course will open many doors in a variety of career directions both in South Africa and beyond, giving you a stepping stone and strong basis for a highly lucrative career and securing your rope access job.

The ITC Experience

Accommodation | Food | Shuttle Service

Accommodation is ideally situated at the training centre with free unlimited Wi-Fi and DStv - you'll start each day refreshed and ready to train hard. Food can also be provided during the course - this includes breakfast, lunch and supper at only R750 for the week.

We provide a shuttle service that can collect you from either the Plettenberg Bay or George airport (George collections charged at R300 per trip).

We also provide a FREE shuttle service from Cape Town.
